It is at a 10-minute drive from Killarney town. YOU WILL NEED A CAR as there is no public transport to Killarney.
You would be sleeping in a private room while sharing with us our comfortable house in the country, just at a 10-minute drive from Killarney town and 15 minutes from the famous Killarney National Park.
• The room features a double sofa bed, making it ideal for one person or a couple.
• It also has a table and 2 benches that you can use to comfortably eat in the room. You may also use the outdoor table and chairs in our front garden.
• In the room you will also have access to hundreds of books.
• You'll have access to a small private toilet (toilet only) and a shared bathroom with a shower.
• We cannot guarantee access to the house kitchen at any time, as we use it a lot. However, you’ll have exclusive use of a small fridge and freezer just for you in our back kitchen, just next to your room. You can also use our microwave, the Nespresso machine and the water boiler, with a selection of coffees and teas available - feel free to help yourself.
We will be happy to share tips and recommendations on everything you need to know about Killarney, from sightseeing and hikes to the best restaurants.
The house has beautiful mountain views from the front garden. It also has a large back garden with a vegetable garden and a polytunnel. We will be happy to share with you any lettuce, tomatoes, herbs or whatever is ripe when you stay at the house.
We also have a pretty fast Internet connection with wi-fi.
About us:
We’re a couple (Tom & Roser) with 2 kids (Isabella, 18 & Sean, 16). Tom is local and you will be staying in the house where he grew up. Roser is from Catalonia (Spain). We met in Switzerland and lived in a few European countries, but have been living in Killarney on-and-off since 2004.
Tom has a legal background and Roser an economic background, and we both work as technical translators and in the coaching business (Tom = Ecological coaching / Roser = Nutrition & Health Coaching and Forest Therapy).
We love reading, travelling and love hiking and the outdoors in general. We speak English, French, Catalan, Spanish and a bit of German. We’ll try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We hope you’ll love our house as much as we do!
